Hi,
I’m Vasily Shadrin — DevOps engineer and team lead, 12+ years in. I started on the helpdesk-and-servers side and grew into owning and leading infrastructure end to end.
Right now I’m at TheLoopa, running all of the infrastructure for a Unity WebGL/Android poker platform (SPK, Nutaku integration) that I built from scratch, including the Kubernetes cluster itself: GitOps via ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD for backend services and WebGL/Android builds, Traefik ingress, and a PostgreSQL HA stack (Patroni, HAProxy, PgBouncer) alongside MongoDB and Redis. I also built a parallel PostgreSQL/MongoDB backup restore-testing pipeline with Telegram reporting, and keep observability running on Promtail/Loki/Grafana.
Before that, I led DevOps at Developers Unknown: multi-region infrastructure provisioned with Terraform and Ansible, horizontal autoscaling I wrote myself (Python + Terraform), CI/CD on Jenkins with Nexus, and a full data layer — PostgreSQL on Stolon, geo-distributed Cassandra, Kafka. I migrated monitoring from Prometheus to VictoriaMetrics and stood up centralized logging on EFK. Earlier, I ran DevOps for an ML/Computer-Vision product, and set up managed Kubernetes (ingress, cert-manager, external-dns, Prometheus Operator, Loki) at Briskly.
I like building infrastructure, not just keeping it alive. I pick up new stacks quickly, I’m comfortable owning systems without hand-holding, and my rule is simple: if I’m doing something by hand twice, I automate it.
Happy to talk.
